Domain Name System

The Sailor Network Operations Center manages the state.md.us and lib.md.us domains.

To request domain services, please follow the instructions based on organization type below:

State Agencies: Please see our Approval and Implementation instructions for domains in state.md.us or private domain space mapping to state.md.us. Public Libraries: Please send requests for new domains in the lib.md.us to dnsadmin@soc.lib.md.us accompanied by a fax to (410) 396 - 7333.

Requests for changes to existing domains: Please send requests for changes to existing domains in the lib.md.us and state.md.us domains to dnsadmin@soc.lib.md.us.

Requests to transfer DNS for existing domains in state.md.us to Sailor (transfer management of agency DNS from another entity to SOC): Please fax request on agency letterhead to Sailor DNS Administrator at 410-396-7333.
