Unique Collections
Since 1886, the Enoch Pratt Free Library has developed historical research collections that are rarely found in public libraries. Highlights include the African American Funeral Programs, the Edgar Allan Poe Collection, the H.L. Mencken collection, and much more. More information about the collections including inventories and finding aids is available on the Enoch Pratt Free Library website and on Digital Maryland.
Pamphlet Play Index
The Pamphlet Play Collection of acting editions of plays is located in the Humanities Department on the third floor of the Enoch Pratt Central Library. Most plays in the collection are arranged alphabetically by author, while some contain a number of short plays. Every play in the Pamphlet Play Collection, whether full length or a page long, can be found by searching the Pamphlet Play Index. If you are looking for audition material, for plays to perform, or for a copy of a play to read for class, the Pamphlet Play index can help you find relevant plays quickly and can be searched by length, topic, genre, number of characters, and more.
