The Baltimore Community Foundation is a philanthropic organization that serves the Greater Baltimore Area.  Some of its services include grants to nonprofits, scholarships to students, and charitable giving plans to individuals.

Council on Foundations
 Explains types of foundations, how to start a foundation, and provides links to member's home pages, links to associations of grant makers, and to philanthropy research worldwide.
Foundation Center
A nonprofit dedicated to empowering and increasing knowledge about philanthropy through data, analysis, and training. It also maintains the Foundation Directory Online searchable foundation database.
GrantSpace
GrantSpace, a service of the Foundation Center, "offers information and resources that are specifically designed to meet the needs of nonprofits worldwide that are in need of know-how for securing funding and operating effective organizations."
Grassroots Institute for Fundraising Training (GIFT)
GIFT promotes the connection between fundraising, social justice, and movement-building. Check their website for information on grassroots and community fundraising,
GuideStar: The National Database of Nonprofit Organizations
GuideStar is operated by Philanthropic Research, a public charity. Although some of its services are only available for subscribers, it offers free database access to information on more than 850,000 nonprofit organizations.

The GGO "helps state agencies, local governments, and non profit organizations, find, win and manage grants."  Besides  finding information on federal, state, and foundation grants, the GGO also provides information on student financial aid, small business funding, and family resources.

National Center for Charitable Statistics (NCCS)
NCCS "is the national repository of data on the nonprofit sector in the United States. Its mission is to develop and disseminate high quality data on nonprofit organizations and their activities." - Intro. State profiles, a glossary, fact sheets, IRS forms, and links are provided.
Network For Good
Nonprofits can receive online donations through this site.  In addition, nonprofits can access tools for fundraising, volunteer recruitment and donor communication.
RFP Bulletin
RFP Bulletin, produced by the Foundation Center, regularly posts new RFPs (requests for proposals). Funding opportunities can be searched by category such as substance abuse, civil rights, community, human services, and children & youth.
