Collections of Note:

Sheet Music Collection
Our sheet music collection is a vast resource for popular songs, including single-title sheet music and over 3500 songbooks, dating as far back as the turn the of the 20th century. Our other printed music resources include classical scores, scores for operas and Broadway shows, hymnals, gospel, folk, and wedding music.

Tune Dex
The Fine Arts and Music Department owns an entire set of Tune Dex cards. These 3×5 index cards provide all the essential musical information (the melody line, lyrics, and chord symbol accompaniment) necessary for the performance of popular songs. Tune-Dex was published from 1942 through 1963. Additional information on each card includes composer, lyricist, and copyright information.
